The New Year’s Plunge was great fun (you should come next year!) but more importantly, it helped raise awareness as well as funds to support our work connecting teens and older kids with lifetime families. We thank you for your support, and if you would still like to contribute, you can here.As we begin 2014 with a polar vortex, our thoughts are with those who have no shelter from the cold – many of whom could be young people who “aged out” of foster care without a family. Research shows that as many as 50% of youth who age out of care are likely to experience homelessness.
So in 2014, we’re more determined than ever to grow our staff and programs so that we can help as many young people as possible to have the families and the homes they deserve.
