To celebrate National Adoption month, You Gotta Believe hosted a virtual event presented by Charter Communications with YGB Executive Director Jennifer Pinder, Willie Garson and Nia Vardalos.
Meet our special guests
Willie Garson, host
In 2010, Willie adopted his son Nathen in Los Angeles. Since then, he’s been a vocal advocate for adopting older kids and a great supporter of You Gotta Believe. In October 2020, Willie joined our Board of Believers! You’ll recognize Willie from White Collar, Sex & the City, Hawaii 5-0, and from our very own Voices events.

Nia Vardalos, special guest
Known for writing and starring in America’s favorite romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Nia is also a huge advocate for adoption and foster care. In 2009, she was given 14 hours notice before bringing her daughter home from foster care, which inspired the title of her New York Times bestseller INSTANT MOM. Vardalos donates all proceeds to adoption groups and social workers estimate the information from the book has placed 1700 children in permanent homes!
She recently appeared in You Gotta Believe’s benefit with Stars in the House on May 21st, 2020.
