Every child deserves a loving, devoted family!

Older youth in foster care need love, support, and devotion throughout their lives—not just until they turn 18!

We welcome all capable families and individuals who would like to provide a permanent and loving home for youth and young adults who are in the foster care system.

Introductory Call

We offer complimentary one-on-one calls for you to learn more about what it takes to open your heart and home to a young person waiting in foster care.

If you have ever wondered what it means to adopt from foster care, how the parent training process works, or what makes You Gotta Believe different from other organizations, this session is for you.

Whether you come forward to parent a specific young person or to make a lifetime commitment to any young person in need of a permanent parent, we dedicate our efforts to train and prepare you for the joys and challenges ahead.

Nobody should age out of foster care all alone

Thousands of youth who leave foster care face adulthood entirely on their own. They are asked to step out into the world without a support system to help them negotiate life’s challenges – in one of the most expensive and stressful areas in the world.

Only a fraction of the 25,000 US youth who age out of foster care each year will go on to realize themselves as they wish to be. Instead, nearly 50% will experience homelessness; they will be more likely to experience unemployment, unplanned pregnancy, legal system involvement, substance abuse, and lack of essential health care services. In addition, only a tiny percentage will have a college degree by the age of 26, and most are unlikely to have a high school diploma and earn enough to support themselves.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

It just takes one person to transform life for someone waiting in foster care. Could that person be you?
