A passionate advocate for family, Mary was a dedicated employee of YGB from 2004 – 2022, serving in many roles, including Senior Director of Family Permanency, Director of LGBT Services, and Executive Director. We are fortunate she is sticking around to advise us and advocate for our youth. Mary has been a foster mom to almost two dozen teenagers and is currently the adoptive mother of thirteen adult children. She is a highly recognized speaker about her experiences as a parent and her YGB-focused advocacy for permanency for every child, regardless of age. Mary is unparalleled in her talent for teaching about permanency, training new parents, and advocating for the one thing everyone needs and deserves — unconditional lifetime love from a family!
