Miyagi brings lived experience to the role of youth recruiter at YGB. Miyagi was first connected to the organization when his (now) parents attended parent training and approached Miyagi about becoming a permanent family through adoption when he was 25 years old. Miyagi inspires youth in foster care by bringing awareness to the importance of family and pointing out that you are never too old for family. In addition, Miyagi knows what it’s like to thrive on independence and wants to show youth that you can be independent and connected to a lifetime family too! In addition to being a recruiter at YGB, Miyagi is a talented artist and storyteller.
