Michael Wright was introduced to YGB in 2016 shortly after he was adopted by a YGB Family at the age of 15. Now 20, Michael has been brought on as one of the newest GAP advocates, but has always expressed interest in working for YGB and helping youth who are looking for family and a home. Michael has participated in numerous events for YGB including MAPP Class panels and has shared his story on YGB instagram lives and events. Michael grew up in the New York State Foster Care System in the Ithaca and Upstate area. He has lived experience in Residential Treatment Center Facilities and Foster Home Settings. Michael is currently a high school graduate and is interested in not only in advocacy but continuing his love for baking in culinary school.
