Martha and her wife, Kathleen, formed their family through the adoption of two beautiful girls who were in care. Martha and Kathleen started their adoptive journey with a YGB MAPP (parent training) class over a decade ago and have been true believers in the mission of YGB to connect youth in foster care with forever families since the very first class. Martha’s therapeutic work focuses on helping children placed in YGB families adapt and heal through the use of attachment focused strategies that foster relationship and connection as well as trauma responsive therapies such as EMDR.
