Jonathan Dejesus has 8 years of lived experience and 2 years of advocacy in child welfare reform. He has previously worked with Fosterclub as a Lived Experience Leader advocating for policy reform. He is also involved with Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) advocating on a national level to change the narrative and improve policies for youth of color aging out of foster care. Jonathan is also a member of various councils focusing on LGBTQ+ youth, congregate care and improving outcomes for youth in care. His life experience motivated him to give back to the world by helping others who are struggling. He is passionate about mentoring, guiding, and supporting foster youth in overcoming their challenges and finding their true self. Jonathan currently assists with the Children’s Village on campus workshops as well as co facilitates the YGB instagram lives and YGB MAPP Classes.
