This year’s benefit on Monday, September 12th at 7pm helped to raise awareness and funds to support older kids in foster care. Hollywood and Broadway stars took to the stage for a night of special appearances and musical performances all in support of You Gotta Believe, New York City’s only non-profit dedicated to connecting older youth in foster care with permanent families before they age out of the system alone.
A Musical-Filled Night to Remember
Presented by Seth Rudetsky, James Wesley and Beachbody.com, the night featured show-stopping performances by Chita Rivera, Darren Criss, Megan Hilty, Tony Yazbeck, Stephanie Mills, Gloria Gaynor and Liz Callaway and more.
An Evening with some of Hollywood & Broadway’s Brightest Award-Winning Stars
Rosie Perez, Gloria Gaynor, Megan Hilty, Chita Rivera, Sherri Saum, Rachel Crow, and Stephanie Mills are just some of the amazing talent in this year’s production presented by James Wesley & Seth Rudetsky.
A night of amazing performances including songs sung by original artists Chita Rivera: All That Jazz, Stephanie Mills: Home (The Wiz), and Gloria Gaynor: I Will Survive. Plus Gerry Polci (Four Seasons): December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night), Megan Hilty (Smash): Second Hand Baby Grand (Accompanied by Marc Shaiman) and Broadway for Orlando: What the World Needs Now is Love.
Proceeds from this event will go to support YGB’s efforts to ensure that every child that leaves foster care does so with a family. Every 23 minutes another youth ages out of the foster care system alone to a future filled hardships — from lack of education to unemployment to higher rates of incarceration, poor health, early parenthood and homelessness.

But we can make a difference by connecting every youth in care with what they were promised when they entered the system — a family.
