- Over 400,000 kids are in foster care, having been removed from their homes through no fault of their own.
- While many foster youth are reunited with family, 17,000 young people “age out” of foster care alone without a permanent family to support them throughout life.
- More than one in five kids waiting for adoption are aged 13-17
- Approximately 114,000 youth are waiting be adopted and are at risk of aging out of foster care without permanent family connections
