Chief Impact Officer, Pledge
Jessica Beatus serves as Group Vice President, Social Impact Solutions at Warner Bros. Discovery. In this role, Jessica spearheads WBD’s impact strategy and consultation for their consumer-facing brands, including HBO, Turner Networks, Discovery Networks, WB Theatrical, WB Television, WBD Sports, CNN, Ad Sales and Consumer Products. As part of the WBD CSR group, Jessica’s team is dedicated to global cause marketing campaigns engaging viewers, advertisers and business partners to move the needle on key social issues.
Jessica is also the creator and program director for Project C.A.T. (Conserving Acres for Tigers), a partnership with World Wildlife Fund to help double the number of tigers in the wild and stem the mass extinction crisis, and Turn Up! Fight Hunger, a partnership with No Kid Hungry to help provide 2 Billion meals to kids living with hunger in the U.S.
In addition to leading social impact work, Jessica ran Standards & Practices policy creation and review processes for content and advertising airing across Discovery Inc.’s networks, including Discovery Channel, TLC, HGTV, Food Network, Animal Planet, ID and more. Prior to her role at Discovery, Jessica served as Senior Director, Standards & Practices for Viacom Media Networks. In her nine years at VMN Jessica was responsible for implementing S&P policy across brands including MTV, Comedy Central and Spike TV.
Before VMN, Jessica produced documentary television programs for HBO, TLC, A&E and The Travel Channel. Jessica earned her BA with Honors from New York University in Journalism & Mass Communications and a minor in Sociology. Jessica lives in New York City with her husband, son, puppy and guinea pig.
