ELLIE KANNER has worked in the entertainment industry as a talent agent, casting director, producer, writer, and director. She has applied her talents over a span of genres, including romantic comedy, comedic thriller, mockumentary, drama and action. After a successful casting career, casting over 30 pilots including, Friends and Sex and the City, Ellie transitioned into directing. She directed several episodes of television, short form series and independent films that all received worldwide distribution. She has been writing, producing and directing television movies on Hallmark, Discovery + and, most recently, Tubi.

Ellie co-created a board game called THE GAME PLAN GAME that helps preschoolers learn life skills. It’s available on Amazon and at Walmart across the country. Ellie has co-written two books on auditioning, NEXT! AN ACTOR’S GUIDE TO AUDITIONING and HOW NOT TO AUDITION. Ellie is on the board of RIVER LA and has supported many non-profits, including MEDICINE FOR HUMANITY, AMFAR and CAL SPIRIT to name just a few.

Ellie is an avid tennis and poker player, not necessarily in that order…has two sons who are in college and resides in Pacific Palisades with her 80 lb. Bernedoodle, Archie.
