Christina Young is the Manager of Family Youth Engagement with a deep commitment to supporting youth transitioning out of the foster care system. Having personally navigated this challenging journey, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role. “I know firsthand the importance of having a strong, supportive family,” she shares. “I’ve created my own family with my husband and our dog, and I’ve been fortunate to have two morally adopted moms who helped me transition out of care.”

Throughout her career, Christina Young has dedicated her life’s work to advocating for foster care reform. She works as a consultant for multiple nonprofit organizations in New York City, focusing on ensuring that youth in foster care are provided with the necessary resources for self-sufficiency. Her consulting efforts have helped shape programs and initiatives that empower young people to thrive and transition successfully into adulthood. While hoping to create change on a bigger level Christina is getting her Masters in Public Administration, with a projected graduation date of May of 2025.
In her role at You Gotta Believe (YGB), Christina works to build meaningful connections between families and youth, ensuring that every individual receives the support and resources they need to succeed. Her passion for youth empowerment and family advocacy is evident in all aspects of her work, as she strives to create lasting change for young people in the foster care system.

Outside of her professional work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, championing foster care reform, and working to connect youth with opportunities that help them become self-sufficient and successful.
