Child Welfare Consultant

Bianca Bennett-Scott is a driven change agent with eight years of lived experience in the New York State Child Welfare system. Motivated by her commitment to education and justice, Bianca strives to bring equity and fairness into child welfare policies and practices by incorporating credible messengers into professional spaces. Bianca states, “YGB has given me the opportunity that no other organization has; allowed me to be my most authentic self and advocate for others going through similar situations.”

Bianca is a first-generation college graduate, having earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Government, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Cornell University. In addition, Bianca is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, the National Foster Care Alumni Council, and a Consultant for the Capacity Building Center for States in collaboration with the Children’s Bureau. In 2022, Bianca was adopted at 24 by her former college Vice President and her husband, championing the importance of family and unconditional support, regardless of age.
