Ta’Nika Gibson is a Broadway, Film, TV, Commercial, and VO artist based in NYC and LA. She was most recently seen as Lucinda, the evil stepsister, on the exclusive limited engagement national run of “Into The Woods”, a role she also portrayed in the Grammy winning and Tony nominated revival on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations, where she portrayed Diana Ross. Favorite regional credits include playing the title role of “Laurey Williams” in the historical all African-American production of Oklahoma! at Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Aida (Aida) at the Strand Theater in Boston, Dreamgirls (Lorell) at TUTS, The Wiz (Dorothy), To Kill A Mockingbird (Calpurnia), Mamma Mia (Rosie) at Weathervane Theater and The Sound of Music (Sister Berthe) at the MUNY. She has been seen many times at NYC Center: Encores! in Into The Woods (Lucinda), Me and My Girl, Call Me Madam, I Married An Angel, and High Button Shoes. International favorites include The Beijing International Film Awards: Tiantan Awards, and Disney Cruise Line (Rafiki). Favorite film and tv credits include HBO’s Winning Time” where she portrays Debbie Allen, in Marvel’s “Iron Fist” (S2E7) on Netflix, and Bull (S4E20) on CBS. You can also spot her in many tv commercials! A staunch advocate for the arts, as well as foster care and adoption in this country, Ta’Nika works with the organizations “You Gotta Believe” and “Broadway for Arts Education” as she believes that every child deserves a home, a family, and access to the arts.
