Brigitte McCray

Head of Content-TONE Networks

Award-winning television executive Brigitte McCray serves as Head of Content, Strategic Planning, and Production for TONE Networks. In this role, Brigitte is responsible for providing strategic direction for all original content and overseeing development and production. Brigitte has an extensive background in planning programming, content development, program acquisition, curation, spearheading multi-platform scheduling, and building effective creative teams for top-rated television networks. Before joining TONE Networks, she served as Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Production for TV One, where she was responsible for creating and implementing the overall strategic vision, planning, and creative direction for the network’s programming. She oversaw all development and original programming, including scripted reality series, news, and documentaries.

Before joining TV One, Brigitte worked at the Travel Channel, where she was responsible for short and long-range strategic planning of the network’s programming. She managed network acquisitions, stunts,
and specials. Additionally, she led brand research and participated in developing current programming.

Brigitte also worked in several roles at Oxygen Media, including Senior Vice President of Programming and Vice President of Marketing, On-Air Promotions, and Creative Services. As part of the network’s launch team, Brigitte was instrumental in establishing the channel’s look, feel, and personality, maximizing its success. Brigitte’s successful track record as a media executive includes pivotal roles at
BET Networks and WABC-TV/Disney, where she improved operational effectiveness and spearheaded creative initiatives.

Brigitte received her B.A. from the University of Maryland. She is a Class 2016 alumnus of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute and has previously served on NAMIC’s National Board of Directors. Brigitte is actively involved in mentoring through several local civic, community, and charitable organizations, including Urban Resource Institute,
You Gotta Believe, where she is currently a Board Member, Inc., Girls Inc., and United Way, among others. A firm believer in passing along her extensive skill set and
industry experience,Brigitte is an adjunct professor at Drexel University’s Department of Cinema & Television Graduate Program.

A native of Maryland, Brigitte resides in New Jersey with her husband, Butch Robinson, an independent filmmaker, and their daughter Jordan.
